Have you ever wanted to engage in a conversation with someone but lacked the confidence to cross a cultural chasm? Have you been curious about the experience of your neighbor from another country or a co-worker from another generation? Real conversation can seem impossible, making it difficult to minister with people who don’t look and think like you.

In this workshop, we'll talk about the Biblical impetus for cultural agility and give you tools to increase communication, understanding, and trust with people so that the Gospel can go out to our communities and to the world.

The workshop will be led by Earl James, Coordinator of Cultural Agility and Advocacy for the RCA, and Rev. Tamber Bustance, Manager of Diversity Development Services at Grand Rapids Community College.

Lunch and snacks are provided on Saturday, you are on your own for dinner Friday night.
