As a community, we seek to live out these words of Jesus . . .
By this will all people know you are my disciples,
if you love one another as I have loved you.  John 13:34-35

There are many scriptures that speak to us of ways to love.  Jesus said the above words at the end of the chapter that began with him washing the disciples feet.  Jesus expressed His love in actions.

That's why John wrote:

Our love should not just be words:  true love shows itself in action.                                                               1 John 13:18

That's why Paul said:

If you have gotten anything at all out  of following Christ,
     if His love has made a difference in your life,
if being in the community of the Spirit means anything to you . . .
    forget yourself for awhile and lend a helping hand.
                                                                       Philippians 2:1-4

Love and care permeate our congregation.  The diagram here is a picture of how we seek to live out being rooted and grounded in love (Ephesians 3:17).  On some of the "roots" you will see some of the ministries that help us "root" caring into our life together.  Our mission is to be the anchoring presence of Christ and the promises of God in the midst of the storms of life.
