Brenton Brown, Worship Director
Growing up as a little child, I began taking piano lessons from the church choir accompanist at age six. Then, I began singing in choir in middle scool. Soon, I was singing and dancing at Adventureland Amusement Park during the summers away from high school. It seemed music was always finding a way into everything I did, and it wasn't long before I felt the call of God to use these gifts in worship. After graduating from Drake University with a degree in Music Education, I taught vocal music at Johnston High School for five years while working part-time as a church choral director. As much as I enjoyed teaching, I still felt like my true calling was in the church. Fast-forward to now, and I am excited to be at Meredith Drive serving God full time in areas of worship and fine arts. Music can touch hearts and speak so clearly of God's love for all of us. It is my sincere pleasure to join in song with all of you at both campuses. I am eager to seek out those with a passion for music and I look forward to the opportunity to make music with you.
