Our Call To Prayer |

Imagine Jesus Christ looking at this world and at us. We come to him. We stand at his feet, looking up into his face . . . suddenly we realize that He is looking not only at us, but beyond and behind us. We feel the strong pressure of His hands on our shoulders, making us turn. We look with Him at the world, and as we do so, we find ourselves seeing much more deeply and penetratingly. We receive into our lives His kind of caring for the world. Above and behind us, we hear Him interceding for the world to the Father. We look to the world He loves, to those around us, and our interceding becomes the echo of His prayer. |

Pray for Our Military |
Sunday, 30 July 2006 |
When we think of our fellow Americans serving in the military and the sacrifices and demands that their job places upon them and their families, we are in deep gratitude. Whether they are serving in our homeland, or overseas, their task is a great one. Let us be faithful in prayer on behalf of our fellow citizens who have committed themselves to being a part of restoring peace and peace keeping efforts here and overseas. |
