Contact: Cindy Spiker, 331-1323 Travel to the most southern tip of the Italian island of Sicily, and experience the beauty of this rural area which is surrounded by the sea on three sides. Lend a hand to two small churches in the area, working side by side with RCA missionaries, Dave and Joy Zomer, who are there to revitalize, educate and reach out to the local immigrants. Be a part of their church dinners, vacation bible school, hymn sings and English lessons. Use your skills to paint, woodwork, tiling and gardening. There’s something here for everyone! Location: Guayaquil, Ecuador Date: June 15-30, 2009 The Prince of Peace Foundation serves children in Guayaquil, Ecuador, by giving them a home, an education and the knowledge that God loves them. It began as a mission of caring for boys on the streets. It now includes girls and an increasing number of poor and abandoned children. This can be a great family experience. There is work to be done with the hands, much interaction with the children plus a culture trip away from the foundation. Read about the 2005 trip. |
