Create an atmosphere where kids/teens can:

  • experience Christ's love and power in their lives
  • continue to grow and develop their faith in Christ
  • become equipped to live out their faith in the world

 Opportunities:

 

Our 7th - 12th Grade focused programs include:

  • Confirmation (8th Grade)
  • WNL (Wednesday Nite Live)
  • Sunday School (Sunday Morning)

Other 9th - 12th Grade Opportunities:

A mentoring, personal time to explore your faith.

Youth have the opportunity to take the next step in their faith journey. This is sometimes called "confirmation" or "joining the church".

Confirmation is a time to take a look at what it means to follow Jesus and to decide if they will say, "Yes, I'm going to follow His way."

Confirmation is a time to ask real questions and to take a look at what it means to say that you're a Christian and to live as a Christian.

Confirmation is a time with large group activities, one-on-one times with parents or a mentor, and meetings with church staff.

WNL (Wednesday Nite Live) 
What/ Why:
Wednesday Nite Live offers a place of outreach for students to bring their friends for fun, fellowship, and spiritual growth. On Wednesday nights we tackle issues that kids face everyday and work to develop new leaders who are ready to share their faith with others. We try to incorporate many different forms of communication like drama, videos, speakers, music, and games.

HS Students and Friends

Can I bring a friend?
Absolutley! We would LOVE for you to bring your friends along with you. In fact, as Christians we are called to spread the news of Christ to others! Our prayer is that WNL (Wednesday Night Live) would be a place for you to bring "unchurched" friends to introduce them to the community IN the church.

Wednesday nights from 6:30 - 8:30pm

What/Why:
Talk about real life events and situations with your peers and discover what Scripture has to teach us about each of them.  We'll tackle issues that matter to you!  We'll encourage you to grow in your personal relationship with Christ letting Him transform you from the inside out!

When:
Meredith Campus: 9:30 - 10:30am
Bridge Campus: 10:50-11:50 am

Leaders On the Horizon (LOH)

Who/What/Why:

Meredith Drive Reformed Church Leaders On the Horizon.  A two year track involving a devoted small group of High School Christ Followers learning to become Christ centered leaders in their areas of influence. 

We focus on the following:  Identity in Christ, character issues, fruits of the Spirit, Spiritual disciplines, ancient spiritual practices, inner healing, mentoring, leadership skills (leading a small group, conflict resolution, listening well), prayer, worship, and service.

More simply put - You'll learn how to follow Christ in the way God has wired you!

 

When:

We meet every Sunday night of the school year (with breaks for holidays).

We Also continue to meet throughout the summer - though this is NOT a requirement - We just love to hang out together!

If you are interested in Filling out an application to be a part of LOH... we'd LOVE to have you!  All Applications recieved during the remainder of 2007 will be considered for an LOH group starting the fall of September 2008. 

We can take up to 12 new LOH'ers each school year.  So get yours in ASAP.  If we have more than 12 apply we will either form two new LOH groups or place some of you in a LUG (Living Unit Group) small group that will then become next years LOH 2008/2009 group.
