Volunteer Opportunities

The following is a list of opportunities available at MDRC.  We want you to find "the thing" that gets you excited to serve.  Contact the staff member listed for more information and to volunteer to serve at either campus.

Hospitality--Marv Vande Kieft
Ushers
Greeters
Coffee Bar Team
Guest Services Team

Property--Marv Vande Kieft
Project Team (indoor/outdoor projects, i.e., painting, trimming bushes,  repair work, etc.)
Work Day Team
Gardening Team

Music/Worship--Brenton Brown
Choir--ages high school through adult can sing their praises to God.  Music reading is not necessary, 
                     but an appointment with Brenton should be arranged before attending your first rehearsal. 
Praise Team--ages high school through adult can lead by playing instruments or singing during worship
                                   services.  Contact Brenton to set up an introductory meeting before attending your first
                                   rehearsal.
Video Team--ages high school through adult can operate the video screen equipment during worship
                                 services.
Audio Team--ages high school through adult can run the sound equipment and set up microphones to be
                                 used during worship services.

Children's Ministries--Pastor Jane Brown
Children's Worship Leader or Helper
          for kids 3 years old through 3rd grade
          serves only once a month, 12 months
          using already prepared materials
          Bridge campus--2 1/2 yr-K, contact Jodi Siebrecht; 1st-2nd grade, contact Kelli Bosch
          Meredith Drive campus--2 1/2-3 yr, contact Ronda Benson; 4 yr.-K, contact Julie Lundy;
                                                     1st-3rd grade, Teresa Scarrow
Sunday School Small Group Leader/Helper
          for kids 3 years old through 6th grade
          serves 8 weeks on, 8 weeks off September through May at the Bridge campus
          serves September through May at the Meredith Drive campus
          using furnished materials 
          Bridge campus--2 1/2 yr-K, contact Jodi Siebrecht; 1st-2nd grade, contact Kelli Bosch
          Meredith Drive campus--2 1/2-3 yr, contact Ronda Benson; 4 yr.-K, contact Julie Lundy;

Other Ways to Serve--Pastor Jane Brown
          Children's Ministry table at the Bridge Sunday mornings
          Work with Vacation Bible Adventures crafts
          Lead children's music 
          Administrative help at key times of year

Care Ministry--Pastor Jane Brown
          Serve on after-service prayer team
          Be on the e-mail prayer chain
          Be a care shepherd for someone with a special need
          Be part of the Meal Team
          Serve on the Handy Man Team
          Serve on Grief and Loss Team
          Serve on the Hospital Visitation Team once a quarter
