FREEDOM FOR YOUTH MINISTRIES

This Des Moines inner-city ministry site offers after school and summer programs for K-12th grade students and provides a safe, loving, Christian environment - a place for kids to be kids, have fun, and do homework. Many of the parents of these kids have two or three jobs, and the kids would be at home alone or hangin’ with friends and potentially getting into trouble if not for Freedom For Youth. Since many of these kids also have no means for a meal on their own, Freedom for Youth steps in here as well, and once a month, MDRC provides and serves a dinner meal.

We are currently lining up volunteers for our next serving opportunity.

Thursday May 9 4:30-5:45 PM, 2301 Hickman Road, Des Moines, IA 50309
