Hoover High and Meredith Middle School

Meredith Drive Reformed Church is blessed to be in such close proximity to schools that impact the neighborhood around the Meredith Drive campus.  Both Hoover High and Meredith Middle are schools that have seen a massive influx of refugee families who are new to the country.
  • Partner with teachers through our in-class volunteer program
  • Partner with the school to provide meals for teachers, students, or sports teams
  • Help with one-time needs that arise within the communities of these two amazing schools

Freedom for Youth - The Bridge

Tuesdays, 5:30 PM
The Bridge campus

Our mission is to provide Christian support and fellowship to at-risk youth in our neighborhood in partnership with Freedom for Youth. Anywhere from 5-22 students are attending regularly. Weekly programming includes a meal, games, Bible lessons, and small group discussions. We are looking for additional volunteers to serve in a variety of roles:

Preparing and serving a meal: Detailed information in this link.

Kitchen coordinator: Help guide the volunteers that are serving the meals; explaining our routine and answering questions.

Van Driver:  Shuttle 10-12 kids from the Chapel Ridge neighborhood near the Johnston library to The Bridge and back, with the MDRC van.

Tuesday night volunteers: We could always use a few more adults that desire to connect with students and connect the students with Jesus.

If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity to serve the youth of our neighborhood please contact Brad Boyles,
