Being an acolyte is a special opportunity for 4th and 5th grade students! The acolyte helps us to remember Christ’s presence in our worship and in our lives by carrying in Christ’s light as they light the Christ candle on the altar at the beginning of each worship service. At the end of the worship service they carry out the light of Christ as a symbol of us being His light in the world around us. Acolytes are scheduled on a rotating basis throughout the school year.

This year our Profession class will be offered for 8th and 9th grade students. Profession is an opportunity for 8th and 9th graders to dive deeper into their faith journey with Christ. Session experiences will allow students to think deeply about their developing Christian faith, and to better articulate what they believe and why they believe it. Throughout the year students will be mentored by members of our church body, hear teachings and testimonies of faith journeys, and participate in large and small group events to equip them to truly take personal ownership of their faith.
